Weddings Across Cultures
We are proud to work with couples from all backgrounds across New Zealand and Australia. Understanding your cultural traditions helps us plan coverage that captures every significant ritual with the care it deserves.

1
Classic KIWI
New Zealand weddings blend outdoor beauty with relaxed elegance. Ceremonies are often held at vineyards, beaches, or heritage gardens. Kiwi couples tend to value authenticity and connection over formality.
There's often a strong emphasis on sustainable, locally sourced flowers and food, and many couples incorporate Māori elements such as karakia (prayer) or a waiata (song).
2
Tikanga Māori
Māori weddings are deeply spiritual and community-centred. They often begin with a pōwhiri (formal welcome) on the marae, followed by karakia (blessing), waiata (song), and the exchange of hei tiki or taonga (treasured gifts).
We work respectfully with kaumātua (elders) and whānau, asking guidance on what may or may not be photographed during sacred rituals.
3
Vibrant & Grand with Indian Wedding
Indian weddings are multi-day celebrations filled with colour, ritual, music, and joy. Key events include the Mehendi night, Sangeet (music/dance), the Baraat (groom's procession), and the Mandap ceremony.
We strongly recommend booking both photography and videography for Indian weddings, as the rituals are layered and simultaneous, two photographers are standard.
